This was the first place I got on my own. It seemed like a dream come true for the 3 years I was there. Sure. The AC would quit and they would be super slow with repairs but this isn't maintenance's fault. Its Toro Properties for not getting in adequate CERTIFIED people on board. Instead they hire convicted felons still stuck in their habits. On my initial move in I was approved to house more animals and was told there was no pet limit. All of my animals were documented and approved upon move in. Seeing as I did animal rescues, this was a perfect fit for me with a back yard to work with the animals. Jamie and Keisha did the best they could with what they had. Its hard to get anything done with cheap bosses. They weren't ever the problem. When Tanya took over for them about 5 months prior to our move out, thats when things went south. Tanya is by far the worst person I have ever had to deal with on any sort of level. She is unprofessional, rude, and like a class A act, passes off all of her work to her hired underpaid hand. It took her weeks to get with us to get the new lease to resign for July 2015. Once we did get it there were more than a few changes but the concern we had was the listing that we didn't have any pets which we did. We informed her of this and she flipped her lid and also insisted we pay ANOTHER pet fee. We told her this was absurd since we had already paid one but due to her throwing out receipts and records when she moved in, this created an issue. I called Toro Properties and they were able to pull up that paid pet deposit info. To top it off she decided to pop in and do a "surprise inspection" of our home and acted appalling and even brought her sister into the house. Last I checked, that's invasion of privacy but I digress. She told us we had to get rid of the pets and we retorted with its in our lease so we don't. Her next action was to call Animal Control. She told them that we had starved, flea ridden animals, locked in 1 room, and the house smelled of urine. The animal control report listed all animals, that they were healthy, not locked in 1 room, the house didn't smell and was clean, and not a flea in sight. This was 2 hours after her surprise visit. Needless to say the whole situation I felt was way out of line. I called Toro properties again to speak with higher management. They informed me she was only there to drop off the lease(which she didn't give us). She left that in the mail box (also against the law). With all the crap we had to deal with her we weren't having it. We moved out at the end of June and gave our proper 30day written notice of non renewal. If you don't give that there a fee as well. We were out by the proper time and got everything out, gave the keys back, and left our forwarding address. With in 2 weeks we received our move out bill. No deposit back for us. We still had "urine soaked carpets" to her so she wacked us $1200 to start there, on top of a "Dark blue bathroom" which was sky blue. That apparently cost them $150 to paint even though they primed with cheap $15 dollar primer/paint combo. How do I know? Well on my way to pick up the last of my mail they had left all that trash in the yard. They left paint cans, oven cleaner, all of the carpet, etc. I even snagged pictures of the carpet in broad daylight on the side of the house. Let me tell you, it was a bunch of money they wasted. Its now going on month 6 starting December and I've still yet to get in contact with Robert about disputing the many stupid fees they felt we needed to pay. I must have called over 30 times in the first 2 months with promises of returned calls or voice mails. Its ridiculous. Consider this your warning. Don't move here unless you want to deal with some bull crap fees when you move out with them claiming you owe them more money by the time you're done. If you're reading this Tanya: You are awful.
